Wessel & Lieberman Booksellers is hosting an amazing exhibit of the work of the contemporary Japanese artist Shinsuke Minegishi
It will feature a variety of Minegishi’s work including wood engravings for limited edition books; prints in which he employs both lithograph and wood engraving techniques; and simple wood engravings.
Minegishi is a Japanese printmaker and wood engraver living in Vancouver, British Columbia. He was born in Tokyo, Japan, in 1970 and moved to the United States in 1993. He graduated with a Diploma in Fine Arts from the Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design in 1998, and has been has been a lecturer and instructor there since that time. He has also been a member of the Malaspina Printmaker’s Society (Vancouver, BC) since 1998.
