Experience with antiquarian books not crucial, but a strong liberal arts background is required. Excellent verbal and social skills are essential. As a dynamic, motivated team of booksellers, we provide our clientele of largely private collectors with exceptional customer service and expertise in our field. Booksellers are responsible for mastering a great deal of historical, bibliographic, and market information in a short span, and communicating effectively by phone, in writing, and in person on the gallery floor. The successful applicant must be comfortable negotiating and selling in a results-driven, luxury retail environment. The neon has dimmed in America’s Playground. I imagine there will be hundreds seeking to fill this position, job duration: full-time until Bauman’s, which opened in the city at the height of the speculative bubble, abandons Las Vegas.
