Critics choose the greatest children’s books of all time

At BBC Culture Jane Ciabattari  surveyed dozens of the leading book critics around the world to find out what are the best children’s books (for ages 10 and under) ever published in English. When all was said and done 151 titles were mentioned by the critics. A Chair for Paulo Coelho

  Art on Chairs is an international event that promotes design and contemporary creativity as driving forces for innovation in industry and development in Paredes, a Portuguese municipality committed to the production of high-quality furniture. The DUET component of the celebration partners designers with world-renowned personalities and furniture manufacturers from Paredes.  Portuguese architect/designer  Eduardo Benamor Duarte created  this chair based on the work of best-selling author Paulo Coelho. A library built with 50,000 free books hopes to debut at the Bay Area Book Festival

It's called Lacuna and if all goes well this spectacular homage to books, libraries and public space will be open for business at the Bay Area Book Festival that will be held in June. Commissioned by the Bay Area Book Festival and created by the FLUX Foundation Lacuna is hailed as an interactive art installation, a library, and a monument to books.
